Resumo: The tiling technique consists of filling the plane with geometric figures without overlapping or empty spaces. Although this technique is quite old, the science is recent and contains aspects that have not yet been developed (SALLUM, 2007). From this perspective, the purpose of this work is to carry out theoretical studies on the conceptualization and classification of regular and semi-regular tilings on a plane. As a result, it was possible to verify that there are eleven well-behaved floor tiles, three of which are regular and eight are semi-regular.

Apesar dessa técnica ser bem antiga, a ciência é recente e contém aspectos que ainda não foram desenvolvidos (SALLUM, 2007). Nessa perspectiva, o intuito deste trabalho é fazer estudos teóricos sobre conceituação e classificação de ladrilhamentos regulares e semirregulares do plano.
