THE CONNECTION BETWEEN PIAGET'S THEORY AND COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE IN PHYSICS TEACHING

Resumo: | The theory of cognitive learning proposed by educational psychologist Jean Piaget is widely cited by educators and researchers to legitimize their educational practices and support their scientific studies. The theme in question has great relevance in the educational environment due to its contributions to the pedagogical process. In view of this, the present work aims to relate the theories about cognitive development in the perspectives of Piaget and cognitive neuroscience, in order to identify their contributions to the teaching of physics through the comparison between texts of the available literature on these theories. These potentialities have already been addressed by some research that applied neuroscience knowledge to the adoption of innovative teaching strategies in the physical curricular component. In addition, there is great encouragement from their intersection with curricular guidelines related to the initial training of basic education teachers in order to understand how students learn. Thus, in order to be successful in its implementation, it is urgent to include subjects in the curricula of teacher training courses that connect cognitive psychology to cognitive neuroscience, applying neuroscientific advances in schools in order to produce improvements in physics teaching. |

El tema en cuestión tiene gran relevancia en el ámbito educativo por sus aportes al proceso pedagógico. Ante ello, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo relacionar las teorías sobre el desarrollo cognitivo en las perspectivas de Piaget y la neurociencia cognitiva, con el fin de identificar sus aportes a la enseñanza de la física a través de la comparación entre textos de la literatura disponible sobre estas teorías. Estas potencialidades ya han sido abordadas por algunas investigaciones que aplicaron conocimientos de neurociencias a la adopción de estrategias didácticas innovadoras en el componente curricular físico. Además, existe un gran estímulo desde su intersección con lineamientos curriculares relacionados con la formación inicial de docentes de educación básica para comprender cómo aprenden los estudiantes. Por lo tanto, para tener éxito en su implementación, es urgente incluir en los planes de estudio de los cursos de formación docente materias que conecten la psicología cognitiva con la neurociencia cognitiva, aplicando los avances neurocientíficos en las escuelas para producir mejoras en la enseñanza de la física.A teoria da aprendizagem cognitiva proposta pelo psicólogo educacional Jean Piaget é amplamente citada por educadores e pesquisadores para a legitimação de suas práticas educativas e embasamento de seus estudos científicos. A temática em questão tem grande relevância no meio educacional devido às suas contribuições para o processo pedagógico. Em vista disso, o presente trabalho visa relacionar as teorias acerca do desenvolvimento cognitivo nas perspectivas de Piaget e da neurociência cognitiva, a fim de identificar as suas contribuições para o ensino de física por meio do cotejamento entre textos da literatura disponível acerca destas teorias. Potencialidades estas já abordadas por algumas pesquisas que aplicaram os saberes da neurociência para a adoção de estratégias de ensino inovadoras no componente curricular física. Além disso, há grande estímulo de sua interseção por diretrizes curriculares relacionadas à formação inicial de professores da educação básica a fim de compreender como os alunos aprendem.
