Resumo: | Introduction. University thinking is nourished by precepts that embody essential principles such as the pursuit of truth, the promotion of knowledge, the development of critical and analytical skills, ethical formation, and social responsibility, among others. Objective. To reflect from the fundamental principles of university thought on the concepts of "university spirit", "critical thinking" and "liquid modernity" in order to promote dialogue and foster the practice of dialectic in university centers. Discussion. An exploratory qualitative analysis is carried out based on the observation and analysis of relevant documents to examine the principles of university thought: search for truth, promotion of knowledge, critical and analytical skills, as well as ethical training and social responsibility. The responsibility of the university in promoting dialogue and the practice of dialectics to train committed and trained individuals for current challenges is highlighted. Conclusion. It is necessary and feasible to promote university reflection on critical thinking as an essential skill. The importance of approaching topics objectively is emphasized, and the need to reflect and act collectively to build a more just and sustainable society, confronting the challenges and changes of modernity. Additionally, the positive impact that can be achieved in university culture through fundamental tools for the intellectual and social development of students and professionals in university centers. |

El pensamiento universitario se nutre de preceptos que encarnan principios esenciales, tales como la búsqueda de la verdad, la promoción del conocimiento, el desarrollo de habilidades críticas y analíticas, la formación ética y la responsabilidad social, entre otros. Objetivo. Reflexionar desde los principios fundamentales del pensamiento universitario sobre los conceptos de "espíritu universitario", "pensamiento crítico" y "modernidad líquida" con el fin de promover el diálogo y fomentar la práctica de la dialéctica en los centros universitarios. Discusión. Se realiza un análisis cualitativo exploratorio basado en la observación y análisis de documentos relevantes para examinar los principios del pensamiento universitario: búsqueda de la verdad, promoción del conocimiento, habilidades críticas y analíticas, así como la formación ética y la responsabilidad social. Se destaca la responsabilidad de la universidad en fomentar el diálogo y la práctica de la dialéctica para formar individuos comprometidos y capacitados para los desafíos actuales. Conclusión. Es necesario y factible promover la reflexión universitaria en torno al pensamiento crítico como una habilidad esencial. Se resalta la importancia de abordar los temas de manera objetiva y se enfatiza la necesidad de reflexionar y actuar de manera colectiva para construir una sociedad más justa y sostenible, enfrentando los desafíos y cambios de la modernidad. Además, se reconoce el impacto que puede lograr en la cultura universitaria el uso de herramientas fundamentales para el desarrollo intelectual y social de los estudiantes y profesionales en los centros universitarios.Introdução. O pensamento universitário é alimentado por preceitos que consubstanciam princípios essenciais, como a busca da verdade, a promoção do conhecimento, o desenvolvimento da capacidade crítica e analítica, a formação ética e a responsabilidade social, entre outros. Mirar. Refletir a partir dos princípios fundamentais do pensamento universitário sobre os conceitos de “espírito universitário”, “pensamento crítico” e “modernidade líquida” a fim de promover o diálogo e fomentar a prática da dialética nos centros universitários. Discussão. Realiza-se uma análise qualitativa exploratória a partir da observação e análise de documentos relevantes para o exame dos princípios do pensamento universitário: busca da verdade, promoção do conhecimento, capacidade crítica e analítica, formação ética e responsabilidade social. Destaca-se a responsabilidade da universidade em promover o diálogo e a prática da dialética para formar pessoas comprometidas e capacitadas para os desafios atuais. Conclusão. É necessário e viável promover a reflexão universitária em torno do pensamento crítico como uma habilidade essencial. Ressalta-se a importância de abordar as questões com objetividade e enfatiza-se a necessidade de refletir e agir coletivamente para a construção de uma sociedade mais justa e sustentável, diante dos desafios e mudanças da modernidade.
