Psychology and Migration: A Systematic Review of Brazilian Literature

Resumo: This study aimed to investigate how Psychology studies the migratory flows of foreigners to Brazil. For this purpose, a systematic review was carried out in the databases of the Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS) and the Biblioteca Virtual de Psicologia (BVS Psi Brasil), without restriction of year and language. Seventeen articles were selected and reviewed, analyzed in terms of the samples studied, the constructs investigated, the instruments and procedures for collecting and analyzing data and their theoretical references. A description of the most recurrent migratory flows in the analyzed studies was carried out. The results point to a diversity of nationalities that arrived in Brazil in the last 20 years, with emphasis on migrants from the African continent and Haitian migrants.

Para eso, se realizó una revisión sistemática en las bases de datos de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS) y de la Biblioteca Virtual de Psicología (BVS Psi Brasil), sin restricción de año e idioma. Se seleccionaron y revisaron diecisiete artículos, analizados en cuanto a las muestras estudiadas, los constructos investigados, los instrumentos y procedimientos de recolección y análisis de datos y sus referentes teóricos. Se realizó una descripción de los flujos migratorios más recurrentes en los estudios analizados. Los resultados apuntan a una diversidad de nacionalidades que llegaron a Brasil en los últimos 20 años, con énfasis en los migrantes del continente africano y los migrantes haitianos.Este estudo teve como objetivo investigar como a Psicologia estuda os fluxos migratórios de estrangeiros para o Brasil. Para tanto, realizou-se uma revisão sistemática nas bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e da Biblioteca Virtual de Psicologia (BVS Psi Brasil), sem restrição de ano e idioma. Foram selecionados e analisados ​​17 artigos, analisados ​​quanto às amostras estudadas, aos construtos investigados, os instrumentos e aos procedimentos de coleta e análise de dados e seus referenciais teóricos. Foi realizada uma descrição dos fluxos migratórios mais recorrentes nos estudos analisados.
