WHEN THE PUBLIC SCHOOL PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS: RESEARCH AND EXTENSION IN FAVOR OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

Resumo: | The present work aimed to defend the collaborative spirit that must be present in actions that involve the public school and society, in which the strengthening of the technical-scientific protagonism of basic education students through research and extension will be increasingly desirable in likely times of denialism. In the context of the present work, it can be seen that volunteer fire brigades are non-profit associations that generally need public-private partnerships to maintain themselves. However, it is common for them to experience financial difficulties that affect their primary purpose of saving lives and material assets. A corporation of volunteer firefighters from a small town in the interior of the state of Santa Catarina asked a public school for help, and it was ready to assist those who come to us so often, starting the work presented here. It is costly to maintain a commercial digital system to manage a corporation. Thinking about the financial autonomy of the partner corporation and the transforming protagonism of the students, we started the development of a free system that served as a backdrop for this dialogic action. |

En el contexto del presente trabajo, se puede observar que los cuerpos de bomberos voluntarios son asociaciones sin fines de lucro que generalmente necesitan alianzas público-privadas para mantenerse. Sin embargo, es común que experimenten dificultades financieras que afecten su propósito principal de salvar vidas y bienes materiales. Una corporación de bomberos voluntarios de unaciudad del interior del estado de Santa Catarina pidió ayuda a una escuela pública, y ésta se prestó a asistir a quienes acuden a nosotros con tanta frecuencia, iniciando el trabajo que aquí se presenta. Es costoso mantener un sistema digital comercial para administrar una corporación. Pensando en la autonomía financiera de la corporación socia y el protagonismo transformador de los estudiantes, iniciamos el desarrollo de un sistema libre que sirvió de telón de fondo para esta acción dialógica.O presente trabalho visou defender o espírito colaborativo que deve estar presente em ações que envolvem a escola pública e a sociedade, em que o fortalecimento do protagonismo técnico-científico de estudantes da educação básica por meio de pesquisa e extensão será cada vez mais desejável em prováveis tempos de negacionismo. No contexto do presente trabalho, percebe-se que as corporações de bombeiros voluntários são associações sem fins lucrativos que geralmente necessitam de parcerias público-privadas para se manter. No entanto, é comum que passem por dificuldades financeiras que afetam sua finalidade primeira de salvar vidas e patrimônio material. Uma corporação de bombeiros voluntários de uma pequena cidade do interior do estado de Santa Catarina pediu socorro a uma escola pública, e esta esteve pronta a atender quem tanto nos acode, dando início ao trabalho aqui apresentado. É oneroso manter um sistema digital comercial para gerenciar uma corporação.
