Resumo: | The article presents a scientometric analysis of 3.484 articles published between 2002 and 2019 in the SciELO database that refer to content analysis (CA) in terms of the number of publications, journals, and cited references. The results showed that the Life Sciences college presents the highest volume of articles and the most heterogeneous bibliography. This result challenges the previous studies that highlighted Human Sciences disciplines as the preferred fields for using the technique. There was used the cocitation analysis network through the VOSviewer, and it was detected a high predominance of the Laurence Bardin’s manual in all the colleges observed. This result confirms findings from previous studies, but on an unprecedented scale and disciplinary diversity. We argue that this concentration tends to reveal a flagrant gap between the advancement of specialized literature on the methodology and its respective use by the Brazilian scientific community, which may be thoughtless and outdated. |

SciELO PreprintsSciELO PreprintsSciELO Preprints2021-03-01info:eu-repo/semantics/preprintinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/preprint/view/191310.1590/SciELOPreprints.1913porhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/article/view/1913/3105Copyright (c) 2021 Rafael Cardoso Sampaio, Diógenes Lycarião, Adriano Nervo Codato, Djiovanni Jonas França Marioto, Maiane Bittencourt , Bruno Washington Nicholshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCardoso Sampaio, RafaelLycarião, DiógenesCodato, Adriano Marioto, Djiovanni Bittencourt, MaianeNichols, Brunoreponame:SciELO Preprintsinstname:SciELOinstacron:SCI2021-02-25T19:15:45Zoai:ops.preprints.scielo.org:preprint/1913Servidor de preprintshttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scieloONGhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/oaiscielo.submission@scielo.orgopendoar:2021-02-25T19:15:45SciELO Preprints - SciELOfalse |
