TRAINING NEEDS IN TRAINING PROCESSES IN THE AREA OF SCIENCE EDUCATION: A SCIENTIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Resumo: The teaching profession is constituted by a permanent process of formation, because knowledge is in constant construction and the challenges of this profession are not static. Permanent teacher training must be linked to the training needs of educators and, in this sense, this study, which is part of a broader research at the doctoral level, aims to investigate how and where discussions about training needs have taken place in the context of training processes in the field of Science Education. For this, a scientometric analysis was carried out on theses and dissertations published in the Theses and Dissertations Catalog of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel and the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations. It is pointed out that research on training needs in the field of Education is significant, but in the scope of Science Education they are still incipient, emerging the need to deepen studies that address such issues in the context of teacher training, in that field.

La formación docente permanente debe estar vinculada a las necesidades formativas de los educadores y, en ese sentido, este estudio, que forma parte de una investigación más amplia a nivel de doctorado, tiene como objetivo investigar cómo y dónde se han producido discusiones sobre las necesidades de formación en el contexto de los procesos de formación en el campo de la Educación en Ciencias. Para ello, se realizó un análisis cienciométrico de las tesis y disertaciones publicadas en el Catálogo de Tesis y Disertaciones de la Coordinación de Perfeccionamiento del Personal de Educación Superior y la Biblioteca Digital Brasileña de Tesis y Disertaciones. Se señala que las investigaciones sobre las necesidades de formación en el campo de la Educación son significativas, pero en el ámbito de la Educación en Ciencias aún son incipientes, surgiendo la necesidad de profundizar estudios que aborden tales cuestiones en el contexto de la formación docente, en ese campo.A profissão docente é constituída por um processo permanente de formação, pois o conhecimento está constante em construção e os desafios desta profissão não são estáticos. A formação de professores de estudos de educação, e pesquisa de estudos de educadores mais amplos, que faz parte de uma pesquisa permanente em nível de ciência, como investigador e onde tem pesquisas como investigação sobre processos de formativos no campo da ciência.
