Resumo: | This study sought to analyze and discuss the main teacher training needs with regard to Youth and Adult Education (EJA). The research aimed to answer the following research question: Is it possible to present something fruitful that helps the thinking and acting of the teachers involved with the EJA classroom? Thus, the objective of the study was to analyze and discuss the “training needs” category as a fundamental strategy in the training of Youth and Adult Education (EJA) teachers and its importance for building the general principles that can support the necessary training for teachers involved and thus better respond to their reality. As for the methodology, we used exploratory research, of a descriptive nature and applied a semi-structured interview for data collection. As a result, we point out the teachers' problems and difficulties, that is, the fundamental training needs that they would like to know, review, and deepen, in the perspective of improving their pedagogical practice in EJA. We conclude that the “training needs” category is a fundamental and strategic element in the organization of continuing education, requiring time, research and further research on the topic. |

La investigación tuvo como objetivo dar respuesta a la siguiente pregunta de investigación: ¿Es posible presentar algo fructífero que ayude al pensamiento y la actuación de los profesores implicados en el aula de EJA? Así, el objetivo del estudio fue analizar y discutir la categoría “necesidades de formación” como estrategia fundamental en la formación de docentes de Educación de Jóvenes y Adultos (EJA) y su importancia para construir los principios generales que puedan sustentar la formación necesaria de docentes. involucrados y así responder mejor a su realidad. En cuanto a la metodología, se utilizó investigación cualitativa, de carácter exploratorio, se aplicó una entrevista semiestructurada para la recolección de datos. Como resultado, señalamos los problemas y dificultades de los docentes, es decir, las necesidades fundamentales de formación que les gustaría conocer, revisar y profundizar, en la perspectiva de mejorar su práctica pedagógica en EJA. Concluimos que la categoría “necesidades de formación” es un elemento fundamental y estratégico en la organización de la educación continua, requiriendo tiempo, investigación y más investigación sobre el tema.Este estudo buscou analisar e discutir as principais necessidades formativas docentes no que se refere à Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA). A pesquisa teve como finalidade responder à seguinte questão de pesquisa: É possível apresentar algo fecundo que ajude no pensar e no agir dos professores envolvidos com a sala de aula da EJA? Desse modo, o objetivo do estudo consistiu em analisar e discutir sobre a categoria “necessidade formativa” como estratégia fundamental na formação de professores da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) e sua importância para construção dos princípios gerais que possam embasar a formação necessária aos professores envolvidos e, assim, melhor responder a sua realidade. Quanto à metodologia, utilizamos a pesquisa qualitativa, de natureza exploratória e aplicamos uma entrevista semiestruturada para a coleta dos dados. Como resultados, apontamos os problemas e as dificuldades dos professores, ou seja, as necessidades formativas fundamentais que eles gostariam de conhecer, rever, aprofundar, na perspectiva do aperfeiçoamento de sua prática pedagógica em EJA.
