THEORETICAL EXPLORATIONS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR CURRICULAR INTEGRATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) LITERACY IN BASIC EDUCATION

Resumo: | This study aims to explore the integration of literacy in Artificial Intelligence (AI) within basic education, an emerging field of significant relevance in the current academic landscape. The central issue addressed is the analysis of the present state of AI literacy in academic research and the identification of potential paths for its implementation in the Brazilian educational system. To achieve this objective, the study employs a bibliographic and documentary research methodology, involving a literature review in academic databases and the analysis of official documents related to the Brazilian educational curriculum. Thus, it seeks to understand the current landscape of AI literacy and identify barriers and opportunities for its implementation. The final considerations highlight the existence of significant opportunities for integrating AI literacy into the educational curriculum, especially in light of the recent Digital Education law (L14.533/23) and the complementary inclusion of computing instruction in the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC, 2022). The study concludes by proposing recommendations for the effective implementation of AI literacy in Brazilian education, aiming to prepare students for the increasing presence of AI in various aspects of everyday life. |

A questão central abordada é a análise do estado atual do Letramento em IA nas pesquisas acadêmicas e a identificação de possíveis caminhos para sua implementação no sistema educacional brasileiro. Para atingir esse objetivo, o estudo emprega uma metodologia de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, envolvendo uma revisão de literatura em bases de dados acadêmicas e a análise de documentos oficiais relacionados ao currículo educacional brasileiro. Assim, busca-se compreender o panorama atual do Letramento em IA e identificar as barreiras e oportunidades para sua implementação. As considerações finais apontam para a existência de oportunidades significativas para a integração do Letramento em IA no currículo educacional, especialmente à luz da recente lei de Educação Digital (L14.533/23) e da inclusão do ensino de computação de forma complementar na Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC, 2022).
