INCLUSION OF CHILD WITH CONGENITAL MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY IN PRESCHOOL EDUCATION: CHALLENGES AND ESTRATEGIES

Resumo: | This article addresses challenges experienced with a child with a chronic disease in the process of school inclusion. It analyzes data built during the immersion in the daily life of a public school of early childhood education, an institution where a 5-year-old girl with a muscular dystrophy diagnosis and a physical disability is found. Its theoretical-methodological contribution is Vygotsky's cultural-historical psychology and his contributions to the studies of child development and the education of children with disabilities. Data were constructed from participant observation, elaboration of a field diary and semi-structured interviews. The investigation emphasizes the ideas of social development, mediation and experience, as well as the impact of architectural and locomotion barriers on the school community, seeking to highlight effective possibilities for this child's participation in the school environment. In this sense, it reveals the contradictions that constitute the process of inclusion in its development, emphasizing the role of the child and the school community in the search for strategies to overcome everyday challenges. |

Se analizan datos colectados en una escuela pública de educación infantil, institución donde se encuentra Leila, una niña de 5 años diagnosticada con distrofia muscular congénita y con discapacid física. La discusión tiene como base teórico-metodológica la psicología histórico-cultural de Vygotsky e sus aportes a los estudios del desarrollo infantil y a la educación de las personas con discapacidad. Los datos analizados fueron construidos a partir de la observación participante, elaboración de un diario de campo y entrevistas semi-estructuradas. La investigación enfatiza las ideas de desarrollo social y mediación, así como discute el impacto de las barreras arquitectónicas y de locomoción en la escuela. En la situación analizada, son explicitadas las contradicciones constitutivas del proceso de inclusión en su desarrollo, enfatizando el papel de la niña y de comunidad escolar en la búsqueda de superación de los desafíos por medio de una serie de estrategias construidas conjuntamente.Este artigo aborda os desafios vivenciados junto a uma criança com doença crônica em processo de inclusão escolar. Os dados foram construídos durante a educação infantil infantil no cotidiano de uma escola, instituição que se encontra uma menina de 5 anos com diagnóstico de criança de educação física e muscular. Tem como aporte teórico-metodológico a psicologia-cultural de Vigotski e suas contribuições aos estudos do desenvolvimento da criança e da educação histórica com deficiência. Os dados foram construídos a partir de observação participante, elaboração de diário de campo e entrevistas semiestruturadas. A investigação ressalta as ideias de desenvolvimento social, mediação e vivência, bem como o impacto de barreiras arquitetônicas e de locomoção sobre a comunidade escolar, buscando colocar em possibilidades de participação dessa criança na ambiência escolar.
