Resumo: Pedagogical materials in indigenous languages are a demand from teachers and schools, as they are not only fundamental for teaching the language, but they value oral and written culture, and consequently the strengthening of the language. Pedagogical Grammar requires collaborative work done by linguists and teachers who speak their mother tongue. It also leads to reflection on the practice of indigenous teaching and on how to expand and develop metalinguistic understanding in the Haliti-Paresi Language. In this paper, we present the subproject “Paresi- Haliti Pedagogical Grammar”, which is linked to the research project “Safeguarding the Linguistic and Cultural Heritage of Transfrontier and Recent Contact Indigenous Peoples in the Amazon Region” with a focus on the Development of Pedagogical Grammars for Indigenous Languages of the Indian Museum (Project 914BRZ4019). We consider the experiences obtained, the difficulties and expectations of implementing this teaching material. Mainly highlighting the collaborative work between indigenous people and linguists, representing a new era and protagonism of Indigenous Peoples. Based on what we have presented, the Pedagogical Grammars language teaching methodology can be replicated for the production of other teaching materials. The material demonstrated great potential if we combine the cultural aspect, which highlights a teaching experience closer to oral culture. Making the material more didactic and representative of linguistic communication situations that are present in the reality of these People's life.

SciELO PreprintsSciELO PreprintsSciELO Preprints2024-03-15info:eu-repo/semantics/preprintinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/preprint/view/800610.1590/SciELOPreprints.8006porhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/article/view/8006/15437Copyright (c) 2024 Edinaldo Costa de Jesus, Ana Paula Barros Brandão, Angelo Kezomae, Jurandir Zezokiware, Elizandra Jéssica Silva Oliveirahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessJesus, Edinaldo Costa deBrandão, Ana Paula BarrosKezomae, AngeloZezokiware, JurandirOliveira, Elizandra Jéssica Silvareponame:SciELO Preprintsinstname:Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO)instacron:SCI2024-02-14T15:38:52Zoai:ops.preprints.scielo.org:preprint/8006Servidor de preprintshttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scieloONGhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/oaiscielo.submission@scielo.orgopendoar:2024-02-14T15:38:52SciELO Preprints - Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO)false
