CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS EXPERIENCED BY STUDENTS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Resumo: Several aspects of life in society have changed with the environment created by the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the most relevant was the transfer of face-to-face teaching to classes in the remote format, an action that was not accompanied by a consistent reflection on how this reflects on student learning. Thus, the aim of the study was to analyze how experienced learning environments relate to perceived learning during social distancing resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The research adopted a quantitative approach of a descriptive nature, having been carried out through a survey with 734 stricto sensu graduate students from different courses nationwide, during February 2021. The variables that characterize the learning environments experienced by students are explored from the analysis model proposed in this study and were grouped into: physical, psychosocial, technological and pedagogical environment. Through descriptive statistics, it was identified that, despite some students pointing out difficulties, in general, graduate students responded relatively well to the restrictions imposed by social distancing, in all dimensions of the learning environments studied.

Uno de los más relevantes fue el traslado de la enseñanza presencial a clases a distancia, acción que no estuvo acompañada de una reflexión consistente sobre cómo se refleja esto en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Por lo tanto, el objetivo del estudio fue analizar cómo los entornos de aprendizaje experimentados se relacionan con el aprendizaje percibido durante el distanciamiento social resultante de la pandemia de COVID-19. La investigación adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo de carácter descriptivo, habiéndose realizado a través de una encuesta a 734 estudiantes de posgrado stricto sensu de diferentes carreras a nivel nacional, durante febrero de 2021. A partir del modelo de análisis propuesto se exploran las variables que caracterizan los ambientes de aprendizaje vividos por los estudiantes. en este estudio y se agruparon en: entorno físico, psicosocial, tecnológico y pedagógico. A través de la estadística descriptiva, se identificó que, a pesar de que algunos estudiantes señalaron dificultades, en general, los estudiantes de posgrado respondieron relativamente bien a las restricciones impuestas por el distanciamiento social, en todas las dimensiones de los ambientes de aprendizaje estudiados.Diversos aspectos da vida em sociedade sofreram alterações com o ambiente criado pela pandemia de COVID-19. Uma das mais relevantes foi a transferência do ensino presencial para aulas no formato remoto, ação esta que não foi acompanhada por condizente reflexão acerca de como isso reflete no aprendizado por parte dos estudantes. Assim, o objetivo do estudo foi analisar como os ambientes de aprendizagem experienciados se relacionam à aprendizagem percebida durante o distanciamento social decorrente da pandemia de COVID-19. A pesquisa adotou uma abordagem quantitativa de cunho descritivo, tendo sido realizada através de um levantamento com 734 estudantes de pós-graduação stricto sensu de diversos cursos em âmbito nacional, durante fevereiro de 2021. As variáveis que caracterizam os ambientes de aprendizagem vivenciados pelos estudantes são exploradas a partir do modelo de análise proposto neste estudo e foram agrupadas em: ambiente físico, psicossocial, tecnológico e pedagógico.
