TRAJECTORIES AND EXPERIENCES OF UNIVERSITY PROFESSORS TRAINING IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

Resumo: | The discussion about teaching and learning processes has been a research topic in several Computer Science (CS) areas in Brazil and worldwide. The training of university lectures is configured as a historical challenge constituted since its origins due to its central nature being related to research. Therefore, in this manuscript, we present a study carried out at the Department of Computer Science (DCC) of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). We opted for a qualitative approach based on the literature review and document analysis. As procedures, semi-structured interviews and monitoring of classes in undergraduate classes of 09 (nine) professors. This article seeks to contribute to the training of university professors in CS to understand the area's needs and the systemic relationship. We observed that the training offered in undergraduate and graduate courses could be instituted in an interdisciplinary way, with the lecturers fostering the praxis based on didactic-pedagogical and specific research in CS and Educational Technology, emphasizing the knowledge necessary for teaching. As a result, wet highlights the emphasis given to research to the detriment of the didactic-pedagogical training of university lectures at Masters and Doctoral levels, with a need for systemic action between the teaching modalities and reflections on teaching practice in Higher Education. |

La formación docente universitaria se configura como un desafío histórico constituido desde los orígenes de la institución, debido a que su principal naturaleza está relacionada con la investigación. Este artículo presenta un estudio realizado en el Departamento de Ciencia de la Computación (DCC) de la Universidad Federal de Bahía (UFBA). Como metodología, se optó por un abordaje cualitativo, de tipo exploratorio, basado en la revisión de la literatura y el análisis documental. Como procedimientos, entrevistas semiestructuradas y seguimiento de clases en cursos de pregrado de 09 (nueve) profesores. Este artículo busca contribuir a la formación de profesores universitarios en CC, con el fin de comprender las necesidades del área y la relación sistémica que debe darse. Se observa que la formación que se ofrece en los cursos de Grado y Posgrado podría instituirse de manera interdisciplinaria, con el rol del docente en el fomento de la praxis, con base en la investigación didáctico-pedagógica y específica en Computación y Tecnología Educativa con énfasis en la constitución de conocimientos necesarios para la docência. En consecuencia, destaca el énfasis que se le da a la investigación en detrimento de la formación de profesores universitarios a nivel de Maestría y Doctorado, con una ausencia de acción sistémica entre las modalidades docentes, así como reflexiones sobre la práctica docente en la Educación Superior.A discussão sobre os processos de ensino e de aprendizagem tem sido tema de pesquisa em várias áreas da Ciência da Computação (CC) no Brasil e no exterior. A formação docente universitária configura-se como desafio histórico constituído, desde a origem da instituição, devido a sua natureza principal ser relacionada à pesquisa. Nesse sentido, este artigo apresenta um estudo realizado no Departamento de Ciência da Computação (DCC) da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). Como procedimentos metodológicos, optamos pela abordagem qualitativa, do tipo exploratória, a partir da revisão da literatura e análise documental. Enquanto metodologia, entrevistas semiestruturadas e acompanhamento das aulas em turmas da Graduação de 09 (nove) professores/as. Este artigo busca contribuir para a formação docente universitária na CC, de modo a compreender as necessidades da área e a relação sistêmica que deveria ocorrer. Observa-se que as formações ofertadas na Graduação e na Pós-graduação poderiam ser instituídas de maneira interdisciplinar, com atuação de professores no fomento da práxis, a partir de encaminhamentos didático-pedagógicos e específicos da pesquisa em Computação e Tecnologia Educacional com ênfase na constituição dos saberes necessários à docência.
