Resumo: They were appraised in the summer and winter of the year of 1991, the incidence of endoparasites in 21 pig farms of the Southwest of Paraná. In each herd were evaluated the diarrhoea in the suckling, weight variation coefficient (VC) at weaning and average daily weight gain (DWG) in the period. The samples of collected feces of the sows and her litters were appraised for the flotation method. In the period of the summer, the Coccids and Strongilids they were the parasites more frequently found in the feces of sows and her litters. In the winter period, the larger occurrence was of Coccids, so much in sows as her litters. DWG and VC were respectively 38g/ day lower and 12% higher in farms where Coccids were demonstrated in piglets feces in comparison to negative farms.

Em cada criação foram avaliados a presença de diarréia nos leitões, coeficiente de variação do peso ao desmame (CV) e o ganho de peso médio diário (GPD) até o desmame. As amostras de fezes coletadas das matrizes e leitegadas, foram examinadas através do método de flutuação. No período do verão, os Coccídeos e Estrongilídeos foram os parasitas mais freqüentemente encontrados nas fezes de matrizes e leitões. No período de inverno, a ocorrência maior foi de Coccídeos, tanto em matrizes quánto em leitões. O GPD foi de 38g/dia inferior e o CV 12% superior em granjas positivas para Coccídeos no exame de fezes dos leitões, em relação às negativas. Departamento de Diagnóstico e Pesquisa Agropecuária.
