Resumo: Micronutrient deficiency may limit the productivity of vegetables. Therefore, the present study evaluated the agronomic performance of carrots as a function of application forms and Boron doses. The experimental design was a randomized complete block design with treatments arranged in a 7 x 3 factorial scheme consisting of 7 doses (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8 kg ha-1 ) of B as a borax (11 , 3% of B) and 3 forms of application: by way of soil; by way of foliar and soil and only by way of foliar with 3 replicates in Dystrophic Red-Yellow Latosol. The analyzed variables were: average fresh root biomass; mean root diameter; longitudinal length; thickness of the cortex, heart diameter and average productivity. The highest fresh biomass of roots and yield was obtained at the dose of 3.68 kg ha-1 . The application of B via soil is the most suitable for the cultivation of the carrot.

The application of B via soil is the most suitable for the cultivation of the carrot.
