Resumo: Objective: To describe the elaboration of care protocol and outcome of the use of laser therapy in wound healing. Method: Iintervention study, as a pilot protocol for the use of laser therapy in the treatment of wounds. The study was of the before and after type in which the patient himself was his control. The scenario was the patients' homes during primary health care in a municipality in the interior of Minas Gerais between January and April 2023.  As an inclusion criterion, he could not have been previously submitted to laser therapy, had a chronic lesion and authorized participation in the research. To monitor the evolution of the cases, the lesions were measured with a two-dimensional ruler and a photographic record authorized by the patient. Results: A total of four patients were evaluated. The etiology of the lesions was associated with diabetes mellitus and venous insufficiency. The mean age of the patients was 64 years, being 02 females and 02 males. Pain was present in 03 individuals. Before the laser was performed, the mean area of the lesions was 130 cm², at the beginning of the laser treatment it was 66.6 cm². And at the end of the laser treatment it was 16 cm².In the present study, it was possible to observe the healing evolution of localized lesions with a reduction of 50,4 cm2 with the use of laser and 43,2 cm2 before laser therapy. Conclusions: Therefore, it is considered that the appropriate treatment of performing the dressing technique associated with laser therapy showed significant improvement in the healing of the lesions.
