INSTRUMENTS FOR ASSESSING THE SEXUALITY OF PREGNANT WOMEN: INTEGRATIVE REVIEW

Objective: To identify, according to national and international scientific literature, instruments used to assess aspects inherent to the sexuality of pregnant women. Method: An integrative literature review carried out from August to September 2022. The search was carried out via the CAPES Journal Portal for articles published in Portuguese, English and Spanish without a time frame in the LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, IBECS, CINAHL and in the SciELO library. The descriptors were used Pregnancy were used; Surveys and Questionnaires; quiz; Forms; instruments; Sexuality; Sexual behavior; Sexual Dysfunction, Physiological; Sexual Function; and Sexual Dysfunction crossed with the Boolean operators AND and OR. 5,632 studies were identified. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria and reading the texts in full, the sample consisted of 28 articles. Results: Among the instruments identified, the use of questionnaires predominated, with emphasis on the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), sometimes associated with another data collection instrument. The approaches were primarily focused on the sexual function of pregnant women and took place in health services aimed at serving this public. Final Considerations: Applicable instruments were evidenced to investigate aspects inherent to the sexuality of pregnant women, useful for application in the context of clinical nursing care during prenatal care, which can contribute to the integrality of sexual health care.
