POWER RELATIONS IN BASIC EDUCATION OF PROFESSIONAL NURSES

Resumo: | Objective: to analyze power relations in the basic training nursing professionals. Methods: Exploratory-descriptive study developed in a public institution of higher education in a municipality in the State of Paraná-Brazil, with 16 nursing students. Data collection took place through individual semi-structured interviews, and the data were processed using the IRaMuTeQ® software, using the Descending Hierarchical Classification mechanism. Results: Four Classes emerged that showed the basic training of professional nurses, manifested by the recognition of nursing, in relation to the devalued profession, and this relationship was experienced by the academic. Conclusions: This study brings contributions to teaching, research and nursing practice, by pointing out the power relations and conflicts that permeate the different fields of the nursing career. |

La recolección de datos fue realizada a través de entrevistas individuales semiestructuradas, y los datos fueron procesado por medio del software IRaMuTeQ®, utilizando el mecanismo de Clasificación Jerárquica Descendiente. Resultados: Surgieron cuatro clases que evidenciaron las relaciones en la formación básica del profesional enfermero, manifestado por el reconocimiento de enfermería, en relación a una profesión desvalorizada, siendo esa relación vivenciada por los académicos. Conclusión: Este estudio trae contribuciones para la educación, investigación y práctica de enfermería, al señalar las relaciones de poder y los conflictos que permean los diferentes campos de la carrera de enfermería. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de entrevista individual semiestruturada, sendo os dados processados por meio do software IRaMuTeQ®, utilizando o mecanismo de Classificação Hierárquica Descendente. Resultados: Surgiram quatro classes que evidenciaram as relações na formação básica do profissional de enfermagem, manifestadas pelo reconhecimento da enfermagem, em relação a uma profissão desvalorizada, sendo essa relação vivenciada pelos acadêmicos.
