PROMOTION OF FAMILY CARE FOR NEONATES WITH INTESTINAL STOMY:: EDUCATIONAL NURSING STRATEGIES

Resumo: OBJECTIVE: the present study aims to carry out a survey of databases seeking to identify nursing strategies to promote family care for newborns with intestinal ostomy. METHOD: this is an integrative literature review, carried out during the months of February and March 2021. The data collection was carried out through the advanced search in PubMed and in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), in the databases data: MEDLINE, LILACS, BDENF and IBECS. Initially, 146 articles were evaluated for eligibility. RESULTS: applied the inclusion and exclusion criteria resulted in 07 articles for analysis. With regard to strategies, two (28.5%) of the selected studies cite educational booklets and two (28.5%) cite educational videos as educational strategies to promote family care. However, social support networks, written instructions and regular teaching meetings for the family were also mentioned, in addition to an educational program focused on care for patients with ostomy. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: the strategies shown proved to be effective to ensure the preparation and autonomy of parents for the care and, consequently, the well-being of patients.

MÉTODO: trata-se de uma revisão do tipo integrativa de literatura, realizada durante os meses de fevereiro e março de 2021. O levantamento de dados foi realizado por meio da busca avançada na PubMed e na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), nas bases de dados: MEDLINE, LILACS, BDENF e IBECS. Inicialmente obteve-se 146 artigos avaliados pela elegibilidade. RESULTADOS: aplicados os critérios de inclusão e exclusão resultaram 07 artigos para análise. No que diz respeito as estratégias, dois (28,5%) dos estudos selecionados citam as cartilhas educativas e dois (28,5%) citam os vídeos educativos como estratégias educacionais para promoção do cuidado familiar. Entretanto, também foram citados as redes sociais de apoio, instruções escritas e reuniões regulares de ensino para família, além de um programa educativo focado no cuidado ao paciente com estomia.
