Para atingir tal objetivo, procurei, inicialmente, elucidar o histórico do direito alimentar, as características e traçar um paralelo entre alimentos, divórcio e separação. Em ultima análise, discorrerei sobre a renúncia e sua possibilidade fronte o código civil de 1916 e o atual de 2002, com a respectiva interpretação doutrinária e jurisprudencial e os temas afins que emergem deste assunto.The present study analyses the possibility of food waiver between spouses. Initially, to reach such objective, the historical of food right and its characteristics were studied, besides that, the parallel between food, divorce and separation was described.
