Resumo: Esta pesquisa propõe uma análise acerca da indenização por abandono afetivo, buscando uma analise pertinente se é cabível a prestação pecuniária. Em um primeiro momento vem uma analise do que é o abandono afetivo e de como ocorre, de quando será considerado o dano moral. Em outro momento esta pesquisa vem mostrar todas as decisões favoráveis ao tema, como o seu entendimento doutrinário. Em um ultimo momento esta pesquisa vem tratar das divergências existentes e qual valor devera ser estipulado nas indenizações. Vem com fundamentos e princípios constitucionais é como base a proteção integral da família. Levando em consideração que há lei expressa sobre o referido assunto, logo cabendo a cada magistrado decidir da forma que lhe acha mais coerente.
