This work is a theoretical studybased on the authors' concerns with the scenery configured by the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil, and its impacts on the work of the social worker, in different socio-occupational spaces, be it in the public or private sphere. Thus, considering the amplitude of the theme, the snip of this study, in particular, aims to reflect on the work of the social worker in the face of the challenges imposed by the Covid -19 pandemic. The impacts of the pandemic are overpowering and its extensions transcend the health crisis, especially in Brazil, which was in the midst of the economic and political crisis. And although there is an increase in demand for social services, financial and human resources are progressively reduced, causing precarious conditions for public services that, consequently, affect the work of social workers. However, it is necessary to walk in the defense of rights and professional practice in ethical and technical conditions worthy.
