Resumo: The article compares three measurements made in a sample of students of the degree in social work at the University of the Republic, with the aim of evaluating the changes produced in the process of massification of university education. Although the universalization of higher education is an achievement in the country, the indicators show a new student body that enters with fewer social, economic, and cultural supports than previous generations.
