Digital tecnologies in education: collaboration and creativity at school

Resumo: | Recent advances on the domain of Educational Technologies bring new opportunities and challenges to educators and researchers. The insertion of computers in educational activities implies on the use of new representations and languages, the learning of new concepts, and the development of new pedagogical practices and curricula. This paper documents a computer-based workshop having the goal of exploring particular software tools that could help educators to construct successful educational projects. The conception of the workshop was based on recent studies about how software tools and especially new medias can improve and develop the reflexive and critical thought, abstract reasoning and collaborative skills in specific knowledge areas. As a main result, we consider that workshops have allowed learners to better perceive the benefits that digital technologies, in a well planned learning project, can bring to the classroom. |

A inserção do computador em atividades educativas implica no uso de novas linguagens, na aprendizagem de novos conceitos e no desenvolvimento de novas práticas pedagógicas e curriculares. Este artigo documenta experimentos que tiveram como objetivo explorar ferramentas de edição de vídeo e colaboração através das quais educadores podem desenvolver projetos educacionais bem sucedidos. A elaboração dos experimentos se baseou em estudos recentes sobre como o uso de softwares e diferentes mídias podem incentivar e desenvolver o pensamento reflexivo e crítico, a compreensão conceitual e as habilidades colaborativas em diversas áreas do conhecimento.
