Resumo: This article aims to broaden the discussions on the evolution of Brazilian research in the area of Statistical Education considering the increase in the number of studies conducted and socialized during the twelfth edition of the National Meeting of Mathematical Education held in 2016. To this end, here is exposed the evidence from a mapping of the works presented in the proceedings of the XII ENEM in the categories scientific communication and experience reports. The organizational model proposed by Fiorentini's theoretical references was used in the work with the formation of focus and thematic subfocus from the readings of the selected abstracts. The main results indicate a valuation of studies in the teaching of Statistics and a low production of works involving the content of probability in practically all the thematic foci associated to levels of education. Despite the progressive production in statistical education in recent years, it is possible to perceive the need for new work mainly at the higher level within the scenario evaluated.

O modelo de organização proposto pelos referenciais teóricos de Fiorentini foi usado no trabalho com a formação de focos e subfocos temáticos oriundos das leituras dos resumos selecionados. Os resultados principais indicam a valorização de estudos no ensino de Estatística e uma baixa produção de trabalhos envolvendo o conteúdo de probabilidade em praticamente todos os focos temáticos associados aos níveis de ensino.
