Resumo: We present a study on the formation of skills in the process of determining and building mathematical models in the context of Mathematics Education, based on the Activity Theory. The objective is to diagnose the learning through the Student Problem Situations Activity in Mathematical Modeling of the students of the Licentiate Degree in Mathematics at the Federal University of Amazonas. The research is based on Galperin's theory of formation by stages of mental actions and concepts; the problem-solving teaching of Majmutov and; the direction of the Talízina Study Activity. The instruments applied were a pedagogical test and a questionnaire. The control model of the Scheme of the Complete Orienting Base of the Action allowed the creation of criteria to analyze learning. The results reveal that most students have a faulty orientation, requiring the (re)elaboration of an appropriate action orienting base for the formation of skills in determining mathematical models in facing of problem situations.

El objetivo es diagnosticar el aprendizaje a través de la Actividad Situaciones Problema Docente en Modelaje Matemática de los estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Matemática de la Universidad Federal de Amazonas. La investigación se fundamenta en la teoría de formación por etapas de las acciones mentales y los conceptos de Galperin; la enseñanza problematizadora de Majmutov y la dirección de la Actividad de Estudio de Talízina. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron una prueba pedagógica y un cuestionario. El modelo de control del Esquema de la Base Orientadora Completa de la Acción permitió la creación de criterios para analizar el aprendizaje. Los resultados revelan que la mayoría de los estudiantes tienen una orientación deficiente, requiriendo la reelaboración de una base orientadora de acción adecuada para la formación de habilidades en la determinación de modelos matemáticos ante situaciones problemas.Apresenta-se este estudo sobre a formação de habilidades, no processo de determinação e construção de modelos matemáticos, no âmbito da Educação Matemática, fundamentado na Teoria da Atividade. O objetivo é diagnosticar a aprendizagem por meio da Atividade de Situações Problema Discente em Modelagem Matemática dos estudantes da Licenciatura em Matemática da Universidade Federal de Amazonas. A pesquisa está fundamentada na teoria de formação por etapas das ações mentais e dos conceitos de Galperin; no ensino problematizador de Majmutov e; na direção da Atividade de Estudo de Talízina. Os instrumentos aplicados foram uma prova pedagógica e um questionário. O modelo de controle do Esquema da Base Orientadora Completa da Ação permitiu criar critérios para analisar a aprendizagem.
