Organic polyhedron: a didactic game for the teaching of nomenclature of organic compounds

Resumo: | This work is reported the production, application and evaluation of the proposal of the game “Organic Polyhedron”, for the teaching of nomenclature of organic compounds in disciplines with the content of organic chemistry in Higher Education. It was used the methodology of action research, which allows investigating the practice itself employed in the teaching-learning process, that is, it is at the same time the object of critical analysis and reflection of the teaching employed and the identifier of the learning generated. The game contributed to the review of theoretical content, while challenging and motivating students to seek more knowledge about content, considered boring and mnemonic, enabling the overcoming of difficulties in relation to scientific literacy and sign language used in the naming and identification of organic molecules. The playful and educational aspects present in this game were validated, which is a fun and stimulating didactic resource, capable of positively impacting the students both in the building of knowledge, and in personal as socioemotional development, reiterating that playful activity is an important ally in the teaching and learning process. |

Utilizou-se da metodologia da pesquisa-ação ou investigação-ação, que permite investigar a própria prática empregada no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, ou seja, é ao mesmo tempo, o objeto da análise crítica, da reflexão do ensino empregado, e o identificador da aprendizagem gerada. O jogo contribuiu com a revisão do conteúdo teórico, enquanto desafiava e motivava os estudantes a buscarem mais conhecimentos sobre um conteúdo considerado chato e mnemônico, possibilitando a superação das dificuldades com relação à alfabetização científica, e à linguagem de sinais, utilizada na nomeação e identificação das moléculas orgânicas.
