Resumo: | The present research aims to investigate the potentialities and limitations related to the use of software Geogebra in the teaching of linear functions in a class of 1st year of High School, in a public school located in Minas Gerais, using an exploratory-investigative approach. A research was carried out in a group constituted by students from different communities, including those from the countryside, also counting on the participation of students who live in the urban perimeter. For data collection, classes were taught with the content of functions using digital technologies and systematizing with exercises about the theme. The results were interpreted in the light of the epistemological obstacles in the teaching learning of linear functions and the error analysis methodology. We conclude that the use of differentiated methodologies, such as the Geogebra, allow students to arouse greater interest in the content, contributing to the understanding and, consequently, improving learning. |

We conclude that the use of differentiated methodologies, such as the Geogebra, allow students to arouse greater interest in the content, contributing to the understanding and, consequently, improving learning.O presente trabalho teve como objetivo investigar as potencialidades e limitações no uso do software Geogebra no ensino de funções afins de 1º grau, utilizando a abordagem exploratório-investigativa.
