Resumo: | This paper discusses the benefits and contributions to teach Geometry to Elementary students based on the observation of the object in three dimensions, built using Origami techniques. The goal of this approach is to use the analysis and visualization process in order to help students identify the two-dimensional elements that make up from those objects and their interrelationships. The results of this investigation indicate the methodology can facilitate the concepts understanding and it also increase communication and observation student´s skills. The research was developed during the Master Dissertation of first author and linked to the Post-Graduate Education in Science and Mathematics PUCRS (Porto Alegre, Brazil). In order to validate the proposal an experiment was conducted in a face-to-face class with 7th grade students of an elementary school at Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). Due to extend the face-to-face interactions among students and teacher a Blog was created to organize student’s contributions. |
