Resumo: The paper, based on the dissertation of Ferreira (2014), under the guidance of Voelzke, presents the performance of the students of the discipline Topics of Astronomy applied to teaching, of post-graduation course lato sensu of Distance Education [DE] in Teaching Astronomy of the Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul [Southern Cross University], São Paulo/SP, Brazil, class 2012-2013. The profiles of the students are considered, as well as characteristics of age, origins, formations, among others. It also notes the interdisciplinarity of the course, particularly of the discipline, and the increase of enrollments in ED in higher education in Brazil, with emphasis on postgraduate studies.
