Contributions of the history of Mathematical Education to Mathematics Education

Resumo: | This article aims to analyze the possible contributions that results from studies from the History of mathematics education - Hem can give to the best formulation of questions specific to the field of Mathematics Education. To this end, the text uses as theoretical-methodological tools the studies of Pierre Bourdieu, on the constitution of scientific fields, and also the analyzes on the development of disciplinary fields and their dynamics in the elaboration of scientific disciplines, treated in by Swiss researchers Rita Hofstetter and Bernard Schneuwly. The contributions made by Hem are justified from the previous analysis treated in the article, on research problems present both in the mathematical disciplinary field, as well as those posed by Mathematical Education. The article concludes by advocating the need to place school culture at the center of Mathematics Education investigations, in terms of the characterization of “mathematics from teaching”. |

Para ello, el texto toma como herramienta teórica y metodológica los estudios de Pierre Bourdieu, sobre la constitución de campos científicos y, también, los análisis sobre el desarrollo de campos disciplinarios y su dinámica de elaboración de disciplinas científicas, tratados por investigadores suizos Rita Hofstetter y Bernard Schneuwly. Las aportaciones realizadas por Hem se justifican a partir del análisis previo tratado en el artículo, sobre problemas de investigación presentes tanto en el campo disciplinar matemático, como los planteados por la Educación Matemática. El artículo concluye defendiendo la necesidad de situar la cultura escolar en el centro de las investigaciones en educación matemática, en términos de la caracterización de las matemáticas de la enseñanza.Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar as possíveis contribuições que resultados de estudos vindos da História da educação matemática - Hem poderão dar à melhor formulação de questões próprias ao campo da Educação Matemática. Para tal, o texto toma como ferramental teórico-metodológico os estudos de Pierre Bourdieu, sobre a constituição de campos científicos e, ainda, as análises sobre o desenvolvimento de campos disciplinares e suas dinâmicas de elaboração das disciplinas científicas, tratadas pelos pesquisadores suíços Rita Hofstetter e Bernard Schneuwly. As contribuições dadas pela Hem justificam-se a partir da análise prévia tratada no artigo, sobre problemáticas de pesquisas presentes tanto no campo disciplinar matemático, como aquelas postas pela Educação Matemática.
