Resumo: | The research outlined in this article sought to investigate the implications of a teaching sequence that places the student as the protagonist of the teaching and learning process, involving the study of measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion. The study was based mainly on the ideas of Vygotsky and Iddo Gal, respectively. The qualitative research involved the participation of 35 students from the 3rd grade of High School, from the night period, from a public school in the state, located in the city of Araçariguama / SP. The students were responsible for collecting the information, conducting a data survey among the students in the class, based on themes related to their daily lives. From the analysis, it was found that the realization of a differentiated, participatory and contextualized sequence of activities with the students 'reality values the students' involvement and autonomy. It was also possible to avoid the use of formulas in the teaching and learning process involving the study of measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion, a factor that contributed to the construction of knowledge. |
