Resumo: | The present work search to verify the efficiency of the experimentation as form of pedagogic intervention in the conceptions that students that already concluded the secondary school or they are ending present on the structure of the matter before and after the development of experimental activities in the chemistry classes during the study of the structure of the matter. In this study, we found that after all the interventions, 65% of the students already had the idea of particles and voids in their explanatory models about the structure of matter. On the other hand, 35% continued to show a continuous view of matter, showing resistance to abandon their initial ideas. |

On the other hand, 35% continued to show a continuous view of matter, showing resistance to abandon their initial ideas.O presente trabalho procura verificar a eficiência da experimentação como forma de intervenção pedagógica nas concepções apresentadas pelos estudantes - que já concluíram o Ensino Médio ou estão concluindo - sobre a estrutura da matéria, antes e após o desenvolvimento de atividades experimentais nas aulas de Química, durante o estudo da estrutura da matéria. Neste trabalho, foi possível verificar que após todas as intervenções, 65% dos alunos já apresentavam ideia de partículas e espaços vazios em seus modelos explicativos sobre estrutura da matéria.
