Teaching Science in Early Childhood Education: interlaces with playful practices for citizenship education

Resumo: Science Teaching in Early Childhood Education has conquered an important space in research and teaching practices, creating new ways of planning children's education. In this article, the goal was to study the ways how recreational activities in a "Science, Technology and Society (CTS in Portuguese Abbreviation) Approach" improve Science Teaching in an Early Childhood Education class, aiming at the formation of adult citizens. The research approach was qualitative, of the "pedagogical intervention" type. As an intervention method, recreational activities were used. The research subjects were 21 children, between four and five years old, from an Early Childhood Education School in Belém/PA. It was observed through the analysis that playfulness encouraged the observation of the school environment by children, enhancing their imaginations and creativity, by assuming different roles, creating hypotheses for school problems and exposing their opinions using different languages. In conclusion, recreational activities meet the needs of developing children, promoting meaningful learning and positive consequences for their formal education.

En este estudio, el objetivo fue analizar en qué aspectos las actividades lúdicas en un Enfoque CTS favorecen la enseñanza de la ciencia en un grupo de Jardín de Infancia, visando la formación ciudadana. El enfoque de la investigación fue cualitativo, del tipo intervención pedagógica. Como método de intervención se utilizaron actividades recreativas. Los sujetos fueron 21 niños, de cuatro a cinco años, de una Unidad de Educación Infantil de Belém/PA. Con los análisis, se observó que la lúdica favorecía la observación del ambiente escolar por parte de los niños, potenciando su imaginación y creatividad al asumir diferentes roles y formular hipótesis para los problemas escolares, expresando sus opiniones através de diferentes lenguajes. Se concluye que las actividades recreativas satisfacen las necesidades de los niños, promoviendo aprendizajes significativos y desarrollos positivos para su formación.O Ensino de Ciências na Educação Infantil vem consolidando um espaço importante nas pesquisas e práticas docentes, promovendo novos modos de pensar a educação das crianças. Neste estudo, objetivou-se analisar em que aspectos as atividades lúdicas em uma Abordagem Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade (CTS) favorecem o Ensino de Ciências em uma turma da Educação Infantil, visando uma formação cidadã. A abordagem de pesquisa foi qualitativa, do tipo intervenção pedagógica. Como método de intervenção, utilizou-se atividades lúdicas. Os sujeitos foram 21 crianças, de quatro a cinco anos, de uma Unidade de Educação Infantil de Belém/PA. Com as análises, observou-se que a ludicidade fomentou a observação do ambiente escolar pelas crianças, potencializando sua imaginação e criatividade ao assumirem diferentes papéis e formularem hipóteses para os problemas da escola, manifestando suas opiniões por meio de diferentes linguagens.
