The didactic sequence “Adolescence and Puberty”: experience report in a remote classroom

Resumo: The Covid-19 pandemic provoked questions and an intense search for adaptation to emergency remote classes. The search for methodologies to make Science Teaching more dynamic and closer to the students' reality made many teachers uneasy. In this sense, the study presents a didactic sequence (SD) elaborated and applied during the 2020 school period, in three elementary school classes. The sequence addressed the theme of sexuality in order to bring an engaging, relaxed atmosphere to the virtual room, sharing and building knowledge. Thus, the SQ “Adolescence and Puberty” was born, composed of: (1) Initial survey, (2) Content approach: bodily changes, (3) Content approach: sex hormones, (4) Content approach: behavior of adolescent and finally, (5) Final survey. The results provide support to the teacher, making their activities and interactions more participatory, being also viable for working with sensitive, controversial and still full of taboos topics.

La búsqueda de metodologías para dinamizar la Enseñanza de las Ciencias y acercarla a la realidad de los estudiantes inquietó a muchos docentes. En este sentido, el estudio presenta una secuencia didáctica (SD) elaborada y aplicada durante el período escolar 2020, en tres clases de primaria. La secuencia abordó el tema de la sexualidad con el fin de traer una atmósfera relajada y atractiva a la sala virtual, compartiendo y construyendo conocimiento. Así nació el SQ “Adolescencia y pubertad”, que consta de: (1) Encuesta inicial, (2) Enfoque de contenido: cambios corporales, (3) Enfoque de contenido: hormonas sexuales, (4) Enfoque de contenido: comportamiento del adolescente y finalmente , (5) Encuesta final. Los resultados brindan apoyo al docente, haciendo más participativas sus actividades e interacciones, siendo también viable para trabajar con temas sensibles, controvertidos y aún plagados de tabúes.A pandemia da Covid-19 provocou questionamentos e intensa busca por adaptação às aulas remotas emergenciais. A busca por metodologias para tornar o Ensino de Ciências mais dinâmico e próximo da realidade dos alunos inquietou muitos professores. Nesse sentido, o estudo apresenta uma sequência didática (SD) elaborada e aplicada durante o período letivo de 2020, em três turmas do Ensino Fundamental. A sequência abordou o tema sexualidade com intuito de trazer à sala virtual um clima envolvente, descontraído, de partilha e construção de conhecimento. E assim, nasceu a SQ “Adolescência e Puberdade”, composta por: (1) Sondagem inicial, (2) Abordagem de conteúdo: mudanças corporais, (3) Abordagem de conteúdo: hormônios sexuais, (4) Abordagem de conteúdo: comportamento do adolescente e por fim, (5) Sondagem final.
