Investigating composite function with GeoGebra software

Resumo: | This article presents an analysis of the application of Geogebra software, as a methodological alternative in the teaching and learning process of problems involving composite functions. The research that bases the project is qualitative of descriptive character and had the participation of a group of the 1st year of high school with 19 students, in a school located in the city of Londrina, in the north of Paraná. Three tasks were presented, which allowed students to formulate hypotheses. In this proposal, the teacher played the role of mediator, trying to stimulate new challenges for students, motivating them to relate the school context to everyday issues. It was concluded that the objective of the project was achieved in part. With respect to student / student, teacher, student and school environment interaction, the objective was achieved, however, associating the application and mathematical thinking, students were still experiencing many difficulties, and some mathematical concepts were not fully understood. |

A pesquisa que embasa o projeto é qualitativa de caráter descritivo e teve a participação de uma turma do 1º ano do ensino médio com 19 alunos, em uma escola localizada na cidade de Londrina, no norte do Paraná. Foram apresentadas 3 tarefas, que possibilitavam que os alunos formulassem hipóteses. Nesta proposta, o professor desempenhou o papel de mediador, procurando estimular desafios novos para os alunos, motivando-os a relacionar o contexto escolar com questões do cotidiano. Concluiu-se que o objetivo do projeto foi alcançado em parte.
