The teaching of Biological Sciences at the beginning of the teaching career

Resumo: The teaching of Biological Sciences collaborates considerably in the critical formation of the subject. The beginning of the teaching career is the period that requires moments of reflection through specific initial training. Therefore, this research aims to know the challenges and difficulties faced by novice teachers in the teaching of Biological Sciences through their positioning on their training trajectory and professional career. The research approach is qualitative with a descriptive focus, considering the analysis obtained through observation and interviews with five science teachers and five biology teachers from the public school system. We also considered the semantics of the language in the interpretative analysis attributed to the research subjects' responses. The results showed that the beginning of the teaching career is a period of crisis, questions, and discoveries. In the reports, the teachers are dissatisfied with the students' indiscipline and the acceptance of their peers about being younger. They presented challenges related to the preparation in the initial formation to face the problems of the profession and the lack of didactic resources. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage, monitor, and create collective spaces for dialogue and reflection on teaching activities, especially for novice teachers.

El inicio de la carrera docente es el período de iniciación a la docencia que requiere momentos de reflexión a través de la formación inicial específica, por ello, el objetivo de esta investigación es conocer los desafíos y dificultades que enfrentan los docentes que se inician en la enseñanza de las Ciencias Biológicas a través de su posicionamiento sobre su trayectoria formativa y carrera profesional. El enfoque de investigación es cualitativo con enfoque descriptivo, considerando los análisis obtenidos a través de la observación y entrevistas con cinco profesores de Ciencias y cinco profesores de Biología de la red pública de enseñanza. La semántica del lenguaje también fue considerada en el análisis interpretativo atribuido a las respuestas de los sujetos de investigación. Los resultados mostraron que el inicio de la carrera es un período de crisis, interrogantes y descubrimientos. En los informes, los docentes se muestran descontentos por la indisciplina de los alumnos y la aceptación de sus pares con relación a ser más jóvenes. Presentaron retos relacionados con la preparación en la formación inicial para confrontar los problemas de la profesión y la falta de recursos didácticos. Por ello, es necesario incentivar, monitorear y crear espacios colectivos de diálogo y reflexión sobre las actividades docentes, especialmente para los docentes principiantes.O ensino de Ciências Biológicas colabora consideravelmente na formação crítica do sujeito. O início da carreira docente é o período de iniciação à docência que requer momentos de reflexão mediante a formação inicial específica, assim, o objetivo desta pesquisa é conhecer os desafios e dificuldades enfrentados pelos professores iniciantes no ensino de Ciências Biológicas através do posicionamento dos mesmos sobre sua trajetória de formação e percurso profissional.  A abordagem da pesquisa é qualitativa com enfoque descritivo, considerando as análises obtidas através da observação e entrevistas realizadas com cinco professores de Ciências e cinco professores de Biologia da rede pública de ensino. Considerou-se, ainda, a semântica da língua na análise interpretativa atribuída às respostas dos sujeitos da pesquisa. Os resultados apontaram que o início da carreira é um período de crise, indagações e descobertas. Nos relatos, os professores mostram-se insatisfeitos sobre a indisciplina do alunado e a aceitação dos seus pares em relação a serem mais novos. Apresentaram desafios relacionados à preparação na formação inicial para o enfrentamento dos problemas da profissão e a falta de recursos didáticos.
