Curricula to train teachers who teach Mathematics: stories about the degree in Mathematics at the State University of Feira de Santana in the 1970s and 1980s

Resumo: This article aimed to understand the production process of the course project of the Degree in Mathematics of UEFS (Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana) in the 1980s through discussions materialized in the approved curriculum, with a perspective focused on the pedagogical dimension in relation to the curricula of the short and full degrees in Sciences of the 1970s. A research of historical nature was carried out, making use of historical documents located in the archive collection of the collegiate of the Degree in Mathematics course of UEFS. Interviews were also used with former professors at the university. In the sense attributed by Hoffstetter and Schneuwly (2017), a process of professionalization, materialized in the curricula, expressed a bachelor's degree, both in the full qualification of the Science course and the Degree in Mathematics, widely characterized by the knowledge to teach, the result of the formation ofthe faculty, until then specialized in certain branches of mathematics; already the short Degree in Science was characterized by knowledge for teaching. These processes of professionalization reflect the way power relations are established within institutes, centers and departments in the area of Exact Sciences, based on a prevalence of reference disciplines in the constitution of the scientific field and the disciplinary process itself.

Se llevó a cabo una investigación de carácter histórico, haciendo uso de documentos históricos ubicados en la colección de archivos del colegiado del Grado en Matemáticas de la UEFS. También se utilizaron entrevistas con antiguos profesores de la universidad. En el sentido atribuido por Hoffstetter y Schneuwly (2017), un proceso de profesionalización, materializado en los planes de estudio, expresó una licenciatura, tanto en la calificación completa del curso de Ciencias y el Grado en Matemáticas, ampliamente caracterizado por los saber a enseñar, el resultado de la formación de la facultad, hasta entonces especializada en ciertas ramas de las matemáticas; ya el corto grado en Ciencias se caracterizaba por el saber para enseñar. Estos procesos de profesionalización reflejan la forma en que se establecen las relaciones de poder dentro de los institutos, centros y departamentos del área de Ciencias Exactas, a partir de una prevalencia de disciplinas de referencia en la constitución del campo científico y el propio proceso disciplinario.Este artigo teve como objetivo compreender o processo de produção do projeto de curso da Licenciatura em Matemática da UEFS na década de 1980 por meio de discussões materializadas no currículo aprovado, com perspectiva voltada à dimensão pedagógica em relação aos currículos das Licenciaturas curta e plena em Ciências da década de 1970. Realizou-se uma pesquisa de natureza histórica, fazendo uso de documentos históricos localizados no acervo do arquivo do colegiado do curso de Licenciatura em Matemática da UEFS. Também se fez uso de entrevistas com ex-professores da universidade. No sentido atribuído por Hoffstetter e Schneuwly (2017), um processo de profissionalização, materializado nos currículos, expressou uma formação voltada ao bacharelado, tanto na habilitação plena do curso de Ciências quanto da Licenciatura em Matemática, amplamente caracterizada pelos saberes a ensinar, fruto da formação do corpo docente, até então especializado em determinados ramos da matemática; já a licenciatura curta em Ciências foi caracterizada por saberes para ensinar.
