Technology from the perspective of future science teachers at the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte

Resumo: Discussions that denote conceptions about Technology can be made possible through the Education Science, Technology and Society (STS) approach in the pedagogical disciplines of the initial training of Science teachers. In this sense, we sought to identify dimensions of Technology and its relations with Science and Society in the conception of teachers in initial formation of Sciences of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (FIRN). The research is exploratory, with a qualitative approach. A Google Forms-type questionnaire was applied to 17 teachers in initial training in Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Physics courses at FIRN. Bardin's content analysis was used to assess the corpus. Our results allude to the need to discuss the Nature of Technology in NT Education in the pedagogical disciplines of the aforementioned courses, in order to enable broader and more critical understandings about Technology, since it was noticeable, in this study, the prevalence of traditional conceptions of Technology.

En ese sentido, buscamos identificar cuáles son las dimensiones de la tecnología y sus relaciones con la ciencia y la sociedad, de acuerdo con la concepción de profesores en formación inicial de Ciencias del Instituto Federal de Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN). La investigación es exploratoria con el interés cualitativo. Se aplicó un cuestionario de Google Forms a 17 docentes en formación inicial de las carreras de Ciencias Biológicas, Química y Física de la IFRN. Se utilizó el análisis de contenido de Bardin para evaluar el corpus. Nuestros resultados exponen a la necesidad de discutir la Naturaleza de la Tecnología en la Educación CTS en las disciplinas pedagógicas de los cursos mencionados, en un intento de permitir comprensiones más amplias y críticas sobre la tecnología, una vez que se observó la prevalencia de las concepciones tradicionales sobre la tecnología.Discussões que denotem concepções sobre Tecnologia podem ser possibilitadas por meio da abordagem Educação Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade (CTS) nas disciplinas pedagógicas da formação inicial de professores de Ciências. Nesse sentido, buscou-se identificar dimensões de Tecnologia e suas relações com a Ciência e a Sociedade na concepção de professores em formação inicial de Ciências do Instituto Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN). A pesquisa é exploratória, de abordagem qualitativa. Utilizou-se um questionário tipo Google Forms, aplicado a 17 professores em formação inicial dos cursos de Ciências Biológicas, Química e Física do IFRN. A análise de conteúdo de Bardin foi utilizada para apreciação do corpus.
