The helm of Perseus: education and Ideology in debate

Resumo: This article is a procedure by which we explain the links between education, science and ideology. To achieve this goal, we start from the historical and real analysis of these concepts as expressions of real movements. The method we work with is marxian ontology and the educational and pedagogical theory on which we are based is historical-critical pedagogy. We conclude with the need for researchers and teachers to reflect on the ideological orientation of their investigative and educational activities based on the social function that ideology and science play in the social-educational complex. We take as input reflections from the film “don’t look up” and the greek myth of Perseus.

Para lograr este objetivo, partimos del análisis histórico y real de estos conceptos en cuanto expresiones de movimientos reales. El método con el que trabajamos es la ontología marxiana, y la teoría educativa y pedagógica en la que nos basamos es la pedagogía histórico-crítica. Concluimos con la necesidad de que investigadores y docentes reflexionen sobre la orientación ideológica de sus actividades investigativas y educativas con base en la función social que desempeñan la ideología y la ciencia junto con el complejo social educativo. Tomamos como aporte reflexiones derivadas de la película “no mires hacia arriba” y el mito griego de Perseo.O presente artigo é um instrumento pelo qual explicitamos os vínculos entre educação, ciência e ideologia. Para atingir esse objetivo, partimos da análise histórica e real desses conceitos enquanto expressões de movimentos reais. O método com que trabalhamos é a ontologia marxiana, e a teoria educacional e pedagógica na qual nos baseamos é a pedagogia histórico-crítica. Concluímos com a necessidade dos pesquisadores e professores refletirem sobre a orientação ideológica de suas atividades investigativas e educativas, a partir da função social que a ideologia e a ciência desempenham junto ao complexo social educacional.
