Resumo: | The article analyzes the construction and constant re-elaboration of the canonical status of the play Wedding Dress through observation of the paths, speeches and receptions of some of its productions. Aiming to understand this process of legitimizing a specific meaning and reading over the decades, the meanings of the seasons of Os Comediantes and some representative performances are analyzed, namely, the 1955 one by Teatro Suicida, the 1958 and 1965 one, directed by Sérgio Cardoso, and the 1976 reconstruction carried out by Ziembinski himself. |

El artículo analiza la construcción del estatuto canónico de la obra teatral Vestido de noiva a través de la observación de los caminos, discursos y recepciones de algunas de sus puestas en escena. Con el fin de comprender dicho proceso de legitimación de un sentido y de una lectura específicos a lo largo de las décadas, son abordados los significados de las temporadas del grupo “Os comediantes” y de algunas escenificaciones representativas, cuales sean, la de 1955 (a cargo del Teatro Suicida), las de 1958 y 1965 (dirigidas por Sérgio Cardoso) y la de 1976 (una reconstrucción a cargo del director polonés Ziembinski). O artigo analisa a construção e constante reelaboração do estatuto canônico da peça Vestido de Noiva por meio da observação dos caminhos, discursos e recepções de algumas de suas montagens. Objetivando compreender tal processo de legitimação de um sentido e de uma leitura específicos ao longo das décadas, são abordados os significados das temporadas d`Os Comediantes e de algumas encenações representativas, a saber, a de 1955 pelo Teatro Suicida, as de 1958 e 1965, dirigidas por Sérgio Cardoso, e a de 1976, reconstrução feita pelo próprio Ziembinski.
