The remediation of media elements: a case study based on the silver age Batman comics

Resumo: Remediation is understood as the process of renewing old content, carried out by new media. The emblematic character of the DC Comics comics (Batman), since its origin in 1939, is considered one of the most well-known and popular, being part of the daily lives of thousands of people in the world and adapting to various media, from analogue to digital over the decades. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to analyze and identify how remediation helped to maintain the status of the Batman character during the Silver Age of comics (1956-1969). For this purpose, a qualitative approach common in, of a basic nature, is used, exploratory studies with bibliographic references related to the topic As a result, it is suggested that remediation stands out as an element of renewal of the medium, as well as helping to popularize a culture of characters.

El personaje emblemático de DC Comics (Batman), desde su origen en 1939, es considerado uno de los más conocidos y populares,  formando parte de la vida cotidiana de miles de  personas en el mundo y adaptándose a diversos  medios, desde el analógico hasta el digital. largo de  las décadas. Por tanto, el objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar e identificar cómo la remediación  ayudó a mantener el estatus del personaje de Batman durante la Edad de Plata de los  cómics (1956-1969). Para ello, se utiliza un enfoque  cualitativo común en estudios exploratorios con  referencias bibliográficas relacionadas con el tema.  En consecuencia, se sugiere que la remediación se  destaca como un elemento de renovación del medio,  además de ayudar a popularizar una cultura de  personajes. A remediação é compreendida como o processo de renovação dos conteúdos antigos, efetuados pelos novos meios de comunicação. O emblemático personagem dos quadrinhos da DC Comics (Batman), desde a sua origem em 1939, é tido como um dos mais conhecidos e populares, fazendo parte do cotidiano de milhares de pessoas no mundo e adaptando-se a diversos meios midiáticos, dos analógicos aos digitais, ao longo das décadas. Sendo assim, o objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar e identificar como a remediação auxiliou na manutenção do status do personagem Batman durante a Era de Prata dos quadrinhos (1956-1969). Para tanto, utiliza-se uma abordagem qualitativa comum em estudos exploratórios com referências bibliográficas relacionadas ao tema.
