Resumo: This dossier dedicated to the Challenges of Teaching Languages aims to problematize issues related to the complex processes of teaching how to read languages, not just visual languages stricto sensu, but others such as sound, fashion, design, urban planning, mixed languages, such as audiovisual, or illustrated books and even verbal language, in close dialogue or in comparison with visuality. It consists of twelve articles from different areas of knowledge, theoretical approaches and institutions and also celebrates the collaboration between PPGAV, Postgraduate Program in Visual Arts of the State University of Santa Catarina/UDESC and GREPAI, Grup de Recerca in Education, Patrimoni i Arts Intermèdia, from the University of Girona/UdG.

Consta de doce artículos de diferentes áreas del conocimiento, enfoques teóricos e instituciones y también celebra la colaboración entre PPGAV, Programa de Postgrado en Artes Visuales de la Universidad Estadual de Santa Catarina/UDESC y GREPAI, Grupo de Recerca en Educación, Patrimoni i Arts Intermèdia , de la Universidad de Girona/UdG.Este dossiê dedicado aos Desafios de Ensinar Linguagens propõe-se problematizar questões relacionadas aos complexos processos de ensinar a ler linguagens, não apenas linguagens visuais stricto sensu, mas outras como a sonora, a moda, o design, a urbanística, as miscigenadas, como a audiovisual ou dos livros ilustrados e mesmo a linguagem verbal, em diálogo próximo ou em cotejamento com a visualidade.
