Sweet sponges, although well diversified in number of species, still lack published works in relation to their reproductive means and biological relations in the environment where they live. This present work presents researches in the area of these individuals in relation to their reproductive form by characteristic gemstone that is found only in individuals that undergo influences of well-defined seasonal cycles characterizing a way of survival of these animals. This work was carried out to verify the differences in reproduction in sponges of the same species in which the drought and flood process did not influence directly. The experiments carried out can identify the necessary factor for these animals to start their biological cycle being a well-defined abiotic factor and thus promoting a better understanding in their reproduction process and their survival in these regions besides indicating if this process occurs only in these periods of stress.
