Resumo: This paper aims to show some reflections on the implications of the racism in the society. For that, our corpus of analysis is the movie “Get out!” (2017), which theme is the racism in the United States. We use the hypothetical deductive method, and we hypothesize that, in this movie, there are words used there that belongs to a racist discourse which reflects the society presented in the movie. Thus, the objective of this paper is, from these lexical choices, analyze the category of Interdiscursivity (see Fairclough, 1992, 2003) presented on this movie. So, our research is qualitative and bibliographical, and it is based on Critical Discourse Analysis, CDA, (FAIRCLOUGH, 2001, 2003), on Van Dijk (2008, 2010), in relation to racism, and on the concept of ideology proposed by Thompson (2011). What we could verify is that the results obtained in this research agree with our initial hypothesis that the choices of words used in the discourses are related to the society presented. In addition, we can affirm that this research contributes to CDA, and the idea that lexical choices also mark the different discourses, such as racist, prejudiced and discriminatory ones, for example.

Dessa forma, o objetivo deste trabalho é, a partir dessas escolhas lexicais, analisar a categoria da Interdiscursividade (cf. Fairclough, 1992, 2003) presente nessa narrativa cinematográfica.
