Resumo: | In 2014, the Brazilian Naval Academy admitted the first class of female students (Midshipmen) in its officer training course for the Navy. The purpose of this article is to present the historical participation of the young military woman from the Academy. The approach is qualitative, with documentary and bibliographic research as initial exploratory techniques and with longitudinal research data, from 2014 to 2021. The participation of women in several professional occupations historically occupied by men is growing. The history of women's achievements is, without a doubt, remarkable in the construction of this class of female students, that represents a portion of Brazilian society. The future officers are learning the desirable behaviors they will follow in the military profession, such as the dedication to the Navy and to the Nation, not putting aside the fact that they are women and citizens, active members of a society that seeks a developed, strong, free, equal, fair and sovereign Country. |

EdUECE - Editora da Universidade Estadual do Ceará2021-06-18info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfapplication/pdftext/xmlhttps://revistas.uece.br/index.php/revpemo/article/view/559610.47149/pemo.v3i3.5596Educational Practices, Memories and Oralities; Vol. 3 No. 3 (2021): Práticas Educativas, Memórias e Oralidades; e335596Práticas Educativas, Memórias e Oralidades; Vol. 3 Núm. 3 (2021): Práticas Educativas, Memórias e Oralidades; e335596Práticas Educativas, Memórias e Oralidades - Rev.
