Resumo: Capoeira resists in the periphery of large cities, assuming educational status, formal or non-formal, it is recognized in various ways by society, including as cultural heritage, so it is essential to record its history and memories. The objective of this research was to investigate the educational legacy of Mestre Chitãozinho for Capoeira alencarina, including the period he taught at the ABC Project of João XXIII, located in the peripheral zone of Fortaleza-CE. Thus, it is thought that this work is contributing to the recording of local memory, telling the story of the common man. This is a qualitative research supported by memory, under the (Net) ethnographic look, autobiographical narrative and questionnaire. It is concluded that his educational legacy contributed to the formation of other Capoeira masters who give training in social projects, give lectures, give workshops, collaborating for the dissemination of Capoeira alencarina, in the peripheral zone of Fortaleza.

O objetivo desse trabalho foi investigar o legado educacional do Mestre Chitãozinho para a Capoeira alencarina, compreendendo o período que ministrou treinos no Projeto ABC do João XXIII, localizado na periferia de Fortaleza-CE. Dessa forma, pensa-se que esse trabalho está contribuindo para o registro da memória local, contando a história do homem comum. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa com suporte na memória, por meio de contato virtual, sob um olhar (Net)etnográfico, narrativa autobiográfica e questionário.
