Educational practices from the narratives of teachers and students deprived of freedom: an analysis of the educational process

Resumo: This paper presents the narratives of the pedagogical practice of educators who work inside a school in the Dr. Edvaldo Gomes Penitentiary. The research is qualitative in nature as well as narrative research. As methodological resources were used, interviews with students and teachers, informal conversations, interviews. As an instrument of data collection, a questionnaire was applied to survey the profile of the collaborators and a notebook was distributed to 13 teachers to build a narrative memorial. In the narratives, some of the reasons for school evasion were identified: turnover of teachers and students, issues involving the prison dynamic, as well as the "rigid" posture of teachers in interpersonal relationships within the prison school.

A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa como também da pesquisa narrativa. Como recursos metodológicos foi utilizado, entrevistas com os estudantes e professores, conversas informais, entrevistas.  Como instrumento de coleta de dados, recorreu-se à aplicação de um ques­tionário para levantamento do perfil dos colaboradores e a distribuição de um caderno para construção de um memorial narrativo de 13 professores.
