Resumo: | In Brazil, Religious Education has always been the subject of debates and discussions, as a consequence of the relationship between education and religion since the forerunners of formal education. Therefore, this study proposes to make some considerations about how religious teaching is configured in the National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC). Using bibliographic research, seeking to understand the concepts of the normative basis, the historical aspects and the construction process of the proposal for Religious Education, as well as the skills required in the development of the student through the content. It is considered that the democratic process of building the BNCC gave it greater authenticity, and the curricular choices are directed towards achieving an education capable of contributing to the formation of a citizen society. |

Diante disso, o presente estudo propõe tecer algumas considerações acerca de como se configura o ensino religioso na Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). Utilizando-se a pesquisa bibliográfica, buscando compreender as concepções da base normativa, os aspectos históricos e o processo de construção da proposta para o Ensino Religioso, bem como as competências requeridas no desenvolvimento do aluno por meio do conteúdo. Considera-se que o processo democrático de construção da BNCC atribuiu-lhe maior autenticidade, e as escolhas curriculares estão direcionadas para alcançar a efetivação de uma educação capaz de contribuir para a formação de uma sociedade mais humana.
