Resumo: This work discusses how teacher training supports the struggle for agrarian reform, since educational work, which imbued with pedagogical intentionality, becomes the structuring axis of an educational policy that promotes human emancipation and, in this sense, the guarantee of social rights. It is theoretically supported by Marxism and authors who debate rural education, including Stédile. As a result, it is possible to affirm that a socially committed teacher training, together with Marxist theories that concretely visualize the needs of society, is essential for the fight against the capitalist system and the construction of a more worthy society to live in.

Para tanto, realizamos o estudo de cunho bibliográfico, apoia-se teoricamente no marxismo e em autores que debatem educação do campo, entre eles, Stédile.
